sneaky snake

okay, you will all think I am nuts.

But, I had a favorite song when I was in oh, about 3rd grade. Sneaky Snake.

Let me sing you a song:

Boys and girls take warnin'
If you go near the lake,
Keep your eyes wide open,
and look for Sneaky Snake.
Now maybe you won't see him,
Maybe you won't hear
But he'll sneak up behind you
And drink all of your Root Beer.

And then Sneaky Snake goes dancin'
a wigglin' and a hissin'
Sneaky Snake goes dancin'
a gigglin' and a kissin'

Now I don' like ole Sneaky Snake,
He laughs to much you see,
When he goes wigglin through the grass,
It tickles his underneath.

Et. Al.

BEST SONG EVER.

too bad sister broke my original 45.
I complained to the management, who promised to buy me a new one. (Like my mom ever knew where it came from!)
Never happened.

Until I met my future husband.
It is truly how I knew we were meant for each other.

He bought me a Sneaky Snake CD.

And, this weekend, we actually found Sneaky Snake on vinyl.

Ah, those are good times.

My sister and I are looking for the Sneaky Snake CD! We totally think it's the best song ever from childhood! We checked out the record every week from the library! Why we didn't just buy it...I don't know. We're in desperate search for it now.

I read your post and, though I hadn't thought of "Sneaky Snake" in years, I found it was available as a download on I-tunes. Have listened to it a dozen times in a row now, and realized that, as an added bonus, it irritates the HELL out of my office-mate! (he-he).
